Programs

All are archived using zip, and include full source and DOS/WIN32 executables. Most of these compile under Unix as well.

• gsar121.zip, General Search And Replace on files. The search and replace strings may consist of
  any character in the range 0 - 255. This allows gsar to work with binary as well as text files.
  A binary grep but with no regexp support. The archive contains a WIN32 executable.
• almnk105.zip, Date reminder program.
• ew108.zip, Examine Wad. Works with all DOOM-type wads (doom, doom2, hexen, heretic, strife, etc.).
• digjoy11.zip, How to interface a digital joystick to a PC using the parallel port.

• tellm106.zip, Displays a given number in: hex/octal/decimal/binary/char, accepts the same bases as input.
• szf100.zip, Search Zip Files for a given CRC. Multiple CRC's and directories supported.
• fdaz103.zip, A command line program which allows you to easily search for duplicates across your zip files.
• xrsrip102.zip, Convert the large proprietary XRS image files found on your "Doonesbury Flashbacks" CD, into normal JPEG files.
• fds111.zip, Fast Directory Synchronizer. A command line program which allows you to easily synchronize directory structures. Features a pedantic mode which compares equal sized files byte for byte.
• fdf105.zip, Fast Duplicate Finder. fdf is a command line program which finds duplicate files on your file system. fdf works by comparing the contents of files, instead of their file names. fdf is fast, supports sets, masks and allows you to remove the duplicates as well. GNU license.
• dwsr100.zip, DiscWorld Sample Ripper. dwsr is a command line program which will extract all the samples from the CD version of the Discworld game. Finally you can hear the famous easter egg. GNU license.
