Ducati Desmo pageI've compiled some text and pictures about my and my friend's Ducatis. About five years ago I almost lost interest of driving bikes. That was before "discovering" the Ducati. After buying my first Ducati I have been visiting Bologna twice (once at the Ducati factory Dec 99 and last year at the WDW2000), and I'm lost. There is only one bike for me, and that is the Duke. There are of course many other competitive bikes. But after riding a Ducati for the fourth year, there are no alternatives for me. Ducati is for me the most desirable bike to own and ride. Well, I must admit there are some other Italien bikes which I would love to have parked inside my garage. The MV Agusta is a very competitive bike, and so is the Benelli Tornado. And of course there is Bimota. The Bimota SB8R is one of the finest bikes around. But give me the money, and I would go for the new 996R.
A week ago (mid July), I visited the Ducati importer in Norway. They had this 2001 model, 748R for sale (for a customer). This bike is to nice to ride on the track or on the rode (well if the sun is shining from a complete blue heaven..). I could park this one in my living room (if it was mine). Check out the wheels, even better looking than the "Classic Gold" (and about three times as expensive). The table below lists all dynocharts which are referd to within these pages. All charts are produced by a local MC workshop MC Marine.
