I live in in Drammen, a town in which Internet soon will be considered as our Local Area Network, thanks to Drammensnett, our local provider of excellent Internet services.
The global aspect of Internet presently receives lots of attention, however the local perspective may well prove to be at least equally important in the long run. Drammen Kommune is of course present on the 'net with official information from the local authorities. Homepages from "tribesize" araeas in town will will eventually supply more colorful descriptions of our town.
For instance: There is a strong Internet-movement in Anchersensvei, giving details from an especially attractive part of town. Any other part of Drammen is hereby challenged to present themselves on the Internet.
They will be richly rewarded by being entered in my list of Very Local Links i Drammen...
Our local Newsgroup norge.buskerud.drammen is the Most Important Newsgroup in Norway. This NG is the social catalyst for an informal gathering taking place at irregular intervals. At these meetings local, regional and global problems are analyzed and solved, along with a few non-virtual beers from our highly appreciated Aass Brewery. Consequently these gatherings are called CyberBeer, and by popular demand the logo can be found to the right:
Further details on me on request, but these are a few important factors in my life:

I could of course tell you what the DoD is, but that would have disgusting consequences. Try visiting the DoD Norwegian Chapter! (Links for you to find!) | This is Geeky ! |
