These pins are so much fun to do. I make them over a base of scrap clay and cover them with different slices of canes, both opaque and transparent. Some of them have gold or silver leaf underneath the canes. After they are baked they are sanded with wet and dry sandpaper and buffed for a high shine on a buffing wheel.
