"Project JAF" is a new (hopefully) book that I am writing. It is a sci-fi-Action-Drama-Thriller.
What is Project JAF?
Well, that is what the story is about.
Where is it set?
Well, the story starts in Norway, but it has many locations around the world. Norway, Australia, Thailand, Vietnam, Canary Islands, the US, Scotland, Germany, Russia, Greenland and the Czech Republic is among the places that is in the story.
What is it about?
A over 45 year quest to find something or someone. Two 60 year old real estate personalities is on the quest to find out if it is true or just a hoax. An mysterious boy appears.
Progression of a scene:
This is one of the first scenes in the story.
First draft of it:
"It
was nighttime. A warm night. A warm night Thailand wasn’t that uncommon. But
the heat was higher than it usually was. And people were desperate for water and
cold air. Not anyone knew that this was only the start. Not even Punjab.
- As you can see it is just short sentences.
Second draft of the same scene:
"It
was nighttime, a warm night. A warm night Thailand wasn’t that uncommon. But
the heat was higher than it usually was, and people were desperate for water and
cold air. No one knew that this was only the start. Not even May.
- I changed the name of the person; I thought that Punjab sounded to Indian like, and besides I have a friend in Thailand called May, so I am on safe ground there. Started to re-arrange the text and changing out dots (.) with commas and other signs.
Third draft:
"It
was nighttime, a warm night. A warm night Thailand wasn’t that uncommon. But
the heat was higher than it usually was, and people were desperate for water and
cold air. No one knew that this was only the start. Not even May. She was naked
in the bed in her apartment, just a thin sheet of cloth covered her body, but in
this heat even that seemed to be to much. She had been laying there for two
hours now, and she couldn’t sleep. She had tried to walk around in the
apartment and it didn’t help. She had taken put on a fan in her bedroom, still
no luck. She knew that tomorrow she had to be awake and ready to work. And the
heat at the work place was higher and more intense then it was here. I got to
sleep, she thought.
- I wasn't sure when I started to write the scene two days ago where I wanted it to go. Who the person was and what the was problem? After having my bedroom on the sunny side of the house that I live in I knew that sleeping in a overheated room is almost impossible. And for May it would be the same. So when it came to third draft I could write in the scene to a complete state.
