Kirsten (born Aspaas) and I were both born in Meråker in Nord-Trøndelag: Our anchestors came mainly from this area, but some also from Singsås and Ålen in Sør-Trøndelag, and Mo i Rana in Nordland. We would be very glad to receive any comments about our anchestors. Most of the research have been done by means of "bygdebøker". These sources may be not accepted as an polite source, but by checking in church-records, only minor errors are found. Searching in bygdebøker have the advantage of being able to do most research at home. These books also very often contain stories about the persons and places.

I'm collecting the people of Meråker in the 1801, 1865, 1875 and 1900 census in one page. At time being I have only finished the 1801, and are working on the 1900-census. Please have a look at it.
