Perl software related to MATLAB

mlcall.pl - Call MATLAB and send output to command window

A Perl program for executing MATLAB commands directly from the command line. The output to the MATLAB command window will be printed in the console window.

This program was just a hack I wrote for the fun of it, and I didn't think anyone but myself would use it. However, judging by the amount of mail I have got about this program, it is the by far most popular of these programs.

ml2latex.pl - MATLAB to LaTeX converter

A Perl program for converting MATLAB m-files to LaTeX files. Generate stand-alone LaTeX files or files for inclusion in other LaTeX documents. Supports syntax highlighting, line numbering etc.

This program needs updating. The LaTeX code it writes is not very elegant. And it seems to ignore some of the command line switches.

mlstrip.pl - Strip comments in MATLAB m-files

A Perl program for stripping comments in MATLAB m-files.

mlisfun.pl - Tell whether an m-file is a function or a script

A Perl program for telling whether a MATLAB m-file is a function or a script.

mlfundef.pl - List MATLAB function definitions

A Perl program that extracts all function definitions in a MATLAB source file and prints the name of all subfunctions. It can also print line numbers, number of input/output arguments and pretty-print the synopses.

mlfundefre.pl - List MATLAB function definitions (regex-only approach)

A Perl program that extracts all function definitions in a MATLAB source file and prints them.
