My grandfather worked with F.L.Smidth in Copenhagen for 40 years.
In the year 1900 he brought his family  with him to Russia to build up a new cementfactory west of Riga. 
10 years ago my mother told the fascinating story when they were followed by the wolves behind the sledge.
