The pictures on this page refers to the first part of the vulcano tour, that is the bus tour from Antigua to the Pacaya mountain area. This is about an hour with bus (40  km). Then it´s from the bus stop in the Pacaya mountain where the armed guides told us about the area, risk of being robbed, and the weather forecast for the day. We walked up to a viewpoint close to the vulcano top (about 7 km from the peak). This day the vulcano was so active that we were not allowed to go on the vulcano top.
