To explore the wild nature in spite of my handicap, I have a specially design wheelchair called "Terrengen". With Terrengen I can travell a lot in the forrest and on the mountains. Every autumn, the hunting for moose period, I run the Terrengen to collect the hunting trophy.
I like to "climb" on the mountains. I have been on lot of peeks in Rondane (a chain of mountains in the middle of Norway). Here are some peaks:
NB: moh is shortend for meter above the sea level, 1000 moh is appr. 3000 feet above the sea level.
The small road between Eikesdalen and Sunndalsøra (mid-west in Norway) via the lake Aursjøen, is a fantistic experience in nice weather. Busmarsjen (a old track) starts at a small lake called Holsjødammen and follow a old railroad from 1913. You can travell it even by bicycle and wheelchair. The trip is 19 km long and the view is fantastic!
If someone is interrested, I have suggestions for trips in the mountains of Budal, Dovre and Oppdal.
