Welcome to the MK elite tournament. 32 players have been headhunted for this special occasion, in a try to decide who's the best MK player at the moment.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

June 2nd

Dve is the winner of the Elite Tournament 2004/2005!

AFTER 3 HARD MATCHES BETWEEN SINDRE AND DVE, THE WINNER IS FINALLY DECIDED. DVE BEAT SINDRE ON DESERT TURN 14 AFTER A TOUGH BATTLE WHERE THE RESULT VERY WELL COULD HAVE BEEN DIFFERENT. THANKS TO SINDRE FOR BEING A WELL WORTHY OPPONENT AND THANKS TO ALL THE PARTICIPANTS FOR TAKING PART OF THE MOST SMOOTHLY GOING TOURNAMENT EVER! (?) IT HAS BEEN GREAT FUN!

AND FOR THOSE THAT NEVER GOT INVITED: KEEP PRACTISING, AND YOU MIGHT GET AN INVITATION FOR THE NEXT ONE :)

April 25th

THE RESULTS OF THE SEMI FINALS ARE NOW READY, AND IT'S CLEAR THAT THE FINAL WILL BE BETWEEN SINDRE AND DVE. THE GAMES FOR THE FINALS HAVE ALREADY BEEN STARTED.

April 4th

I'M BACK FROM MY EASTER HOLYDAY AND THE SITE IS UPDATED. THE LAST QUARTER FINAL ENDED WHILE I WAS AWAY, AND WE ARE NOW READY TO START THE SEMI FINALS. PLEASE HAVE THE GAMES CREATED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, AND MUST THE BEST MEN WIN :)

March 3rd

ONE STEP FORWARD AND ONE BACK. DEEDO SEEMS TO HAVE LEFT THE MK ARENA, AND ARIMAN HAS AGREED TO COME BACK INTO IT. THE QUARTER FINAL SET IS NOW AT ITS ORIGIN, WITH THE EXCEPTION THAT DARTH MOSKOW IS PLAYING IN MAGNUMS PLACE. THERE WON'T BE ANY FUTHER CHANGES NOW.

Feb 13th

MAGNUM HAS TODAY BEEN DISQUALIFIED FROM FURTHER PLAY IN THE TOURNAMENT, SINCE IT HAS BEEN FOUND PROVEN THAT HE HAS NOT BEEN PLAYING HIS GAMES INDEPENDENTLY. HE WAS BEEN REPLACED BY DARTH MOSKOW.

Feb 12th

TIME LIMIT SET: BOTH MANDATORY GAMES IN THE QUARTER FINALS MUST BE CREATED BEFORE THE END OF THIS MONTH!

RULE CLEARANCE: YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE SOMEONE ELSE COVERING TURNS FOR YOU IN TOURNAMENT GAMES, UNLESS THIS IS PERMITTED BY YOUR OPPONENT. THERE HAS BEEN ONE OCCATION WHERE THIS HAPPEND LATELY, BUT SINCE THIS HAS NOT BEEN MADE CLEAR BEFORE, THE PLAYER WILL ONLY HAVE A WARNING.

ARIMAN HAS WITHDRAWN FROM THE TOURNAMENT AND DEEDO IS NOW LISTED AS THE SECOND PLAYER FROM GROUP 2. IN THE SAME GROUP, BLITZ IS NAMED AS THE WINNER. BECAUSE OF THIS THE BRACKETS FOR THE QUARTER FINALS HAVE BEEN REARRANGED.

Feb 4th

ALL MATCHES IN ROUND 2 ARE NOW ENDED AND THE QUARTER FINALS CAN BE STARTED TODAY. NOW THE REAL FUN BEGINS :)

Dec 20th

THE VOTING IS NOW ENDED. YOU CAN VIEW THE RESULT HERE.

Dec 9th

I'M GOING ON A TRIP TO ENGLAND, SO IN THE PERIOD FROM TODAY TILL DEC 14th THE PAGES WILL NOT BE UPDATED. IF ANY OF YOUR GAMES FINISH BEFORE I'M BACK, PLEASE SEND ME A MESSAGE AND LET ME KNOW THE WINNER AND IN WHICH TURN THE KILL WAS MADE. THANKS.

Nov 29th

TONIGHT: ROUND 2 IS STARTING! AS GOOD AS ALL GAMES IN ROUND 1 ARE NOW FINISHED, AND YOU CAN HAVE YOUR GAMES FOR ROUND 2 STARTED ALREADY TONIGHT. LOOK UP YOUR OPPONENTS AND LET THE FUN BEGIN!

IN SHORT YOU WILL ALSO SEE A LINK TO A POLL ON THIS SITE, WHERE PEOPLE CAN VOTE ON WHO THEY THINK WILL WIN THIS TOURNAMENT.

NOTE: SINCE THERE WERE NO REPLAYS IN ROUND 1, THE MAP CHOSEN FOR THIS PURPOSE, OASIS, IS UNBOUND, AND YOU ARE FREE TO USE THIS MAP FOR ANY OF YOUR GAMES.

Nov 5th

UNFORTUNATELY, REAPER HAS NOT SHOWN UP FOR ANY OF HIS GAMES AND TODAY HE WAS REPLACED BY IMPOSTURE.

Oct 26th

I'M SAD TO LET YOU ALL KNOW THAT EVIL EYE HAS DECIDED TO WITHDRAW FROM THE TOURNAMENT AND RETIRE FROM MK AS WELL. THE GOOD NEWS ON THE OTHER HAND, IS THAT GRO-BHAAL ONE HAS AGREED TO TAKE HIS PLACE. SO ONE CLASS PLAYER WILL BE REPLACED BY ANOTHER, AND THIS WAY GROUP 6 WILL NOT BE WEAKEND.

BECAUSE OF TIME PRESSURE AT WORK, CHARLE HAS DECIDED TO WITHDRAW FROM THE TOURNAMENT. HE WILL BE REPLACED BY ZORDRAC.

Oct 24th

THE TOURNAMENT WAS KICKED OFF TODAY RIGHT AFTER THE LIVE DRAWING OF GROUPS AND BRACKETS AT NOON MK SERVER TIME. GET IN TOUCH WITH YOUR OPPONENTS AND HAVE YOUR GAMES STARTED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

THE TIME IS THE GREATEST ENEMY OF ANY MK TOURNAMENT, AND WE URGE YOU TO KEEP UP THE SPEED. TO HELP THIS, WE HAVE DECIDED THAT ALL GAMES IN ROUND ONE MUST BE STARTED WITHIN THE NEXT 2 WEEKS (BEFORE NOV 8TH). IF YOU WITH GOOD REASONS ARE UNABLED TO KEEP THIS TIME LIMIT, SEND A MESSAGE TO DVE AND WE WILL DECIDE WHETHER A DELAY OF YOUR GAME(S) SHOULD BE ALLOWED OR NOT.

GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL!

RULES

1. We'll use the Metalknights server for this tournament.

2. The players will be divided into 8 groups, 4 players in each group. All the players will be seeded into 4 different Pools The groups will consist of one player from each pool, which will be decided by a draw. The tournament committee, consisting of Genie, Evil Eye and Dve, will set the pools together based on their subjective opinion on the players. Take it as a challenge to prove them wrong :)

3. You must play each player in your group only once in a 1x1 duel. You'll get 2 points for a victory and 0 points for any losses.

4. All duels must be played with forced doubles. This means that the turns will go as follows: playerA, playerB, playerB playerA, playerA, playerB...etc.

5. In the duels, the player listed first has to create the game and decide which map to be used. The player listed second, decides who is to place first.

6. You can choose which ever map you want, but it has to be at least 100x100, and you can choose the same map only once in the tournament. PS: You can not choose a map that is already decided as a tie-breaker map or a map for replays! (look down on the page).

7. The games must be created as q72, no nuke, no peace and no wrecks.

8. You must finish your second turn in the doubling within 36 hours after the turn flips. This is to let your opponent have enough time to play his turn, and to avoid having him feeling "pressed" to play before you are done with your doubling. If you wait more than 36 hours, your opponent is free to play, and you will miss that turn. In other words, you are not allowed to play your turn after your opponent that specific round. Still, it's to the opponent's discretion whether they wish to allow a player to enter beyond the 36 hour mark. If any violation of this rule occurs, please take a screenshot to avoid any discussion.

9. If you place last, you are not allowed to attack in your first double. If you place close to your opponent, he is free to attack you whenever he wants.

10. Your game must be named ET player A vs Player B. Ex.: ET EvilEye vs Genie.

11. The 2 best players in each group go through to second round.

12. If equal points between 2 players, the winner of the game between the two of them will be listed first in the standings.

13. If the first 3 players get equal score, one player will be drawn as the winner. The other 2 will have to play one more game to decide who will go through. The map for such a game is listed under (round 1 and 2).

14. If the last 3 players get equal score, there will be ONE game with all 3 players. The place order will be drawn, and the map is listed under (round 1 and 2).

15. The 16 players that advance from round 1 will be divided into 4 groups for the second round. Click Round 2 to see how the groups will be put together. Everybody plays eachother once, and the best 2 players from each group go through to the quarter finals. The finals will be decided from a best 2 games out of 3. Each player is to choose map once, and if a third game is needed, the map will be as defined under.

Any violation of the rules will result in disqualification in the particular game you're playing.
