The Portuguese food is usually served in large portions, and gives very good value for money. For lovers of seafood, like I am, there are lots of excellent dishes to choose from.

One of my favorites is "arroz de marisco", mixed seafood in rice. Another one is "bife de atum", tuna steak.

The spiciest dishes are found in the Azores and Madeira.

Breakfast (Pequeno almoço) is usually a cup of coffee, bread roll and butter.

Lunch (Almoço): Noon - 3.00 pm

Dinner (Jantar): 7.00 pm - 10.00 pm
