Excerpt from the homepage: Vertical Games on a Horizontal Arcade Monitor ------------------------------------------------------------------ All of VAntAGE game's originally ran on a vertical arcade monitor. The absolute best way to use VAntAGE is with a PC connected to a vertically orientated arcade monitor. This emulator was one of the fastest around, with lightning speed on a 486 computer, and only 8 MBytes of RAM. :-) So, if you're thinking "What about Windows...?", then you will have to install VMware to emulate DOS! :) As you might have guessed, this emulator is now discontinued. The latest version available (v1.11) was dated 26th Feb 2001. It's a shame that all good things must come to an end, because this was a great emulator. Err... I mean, "still IS" a great emulator, for those of us running DOS... :) There are also other great arcade emulators out there, which also emulates Pac-Man games. The ones included here in the "Pacman Emulation Universe", are Sparcade, JROK's System 1, HIVE, Retrocade, MAME PacMAME, and of course Vantage.

Note 2: VAntAGE requires sample sets to generate sound for most of the games. These are *not* the same as the sample sets used by MAME! Get the samples from the local page, or from the official page.
