Hitratrip with Mjosen Dykkerklubb

  ( Norsk tekst )

October 1. 2004 a small bunch from Hamar took off to Dolmoy, Hitra, along with 5 great friends fra Drobak Undervannsklubb and Gjovik Froskemannsklubb. After a little trouble with booking we ended up at Halvard Stadsviks place  Stadsvik Brygger. There were no complaints when we arrived and saw the gorgeous appartements on the docks we would be staying. We had 3 great and busy days and 4 lovely nights there. We got to dive with the currents under Dolmsund Bridge day and night, and Mother Nature hit us in the face as we docily passed through the skerries on our way to open sea.. T-shirts and shades way out in the Norwegian Ocean this far north in October isn’t the daily routine, so we just as well chose to stay out there all day long! We got to see enormous lobsters, lots of monk fish, 30 Ibs halibut, thornback rays and so on. Of course we picked scallops until our nets broke. Social dinners and late nights belongs to this setting, and we’re allready looking foreward to the next trip to Hitra. Thank you for the great food Mona!

New trip in February, come with us!

As we are waiting for our brand new club kompressor, partially financed by the Norwegian Lottery and the Norwegian Scuba Association, O.K. Kompressorservice provided lots of clean air for our scuba tanks. A marvellous open 24 foot motorboat with an inboard diesel engine was provided by Robert Knutshaug at Knutshaug Fiskeferie from Dolmoy. It “lifted” all of us divers safely and in comfort out to sea. Robert and Halvar at Dolmoy have been greatly helpful to us in arranging this trip. They are both providers of comfortable appartements and great motorboats, and we give our best recommendations to their businesses! Thanks guys, we’ll be back soon!
