Magnor Humborstad
The huge Waylon fan from Norway was born 25. of June 1952.
In '74 I was educated as an electronic engineer.
Since then I have been busy designing digital telecommunication electronics.
I got married about the same time as I got my degree and still married to the
same lovely girl. She shares the same musical taste as I do.
We have 3 sons, age 22, 18 and 8.
My interest of country music started back in '63 when Jim Reeves, Bobby Bare,
Cheet Atkins and Anita Kerr Singers visit Norway and held a legendary show. I
saw it on TV and got instantly hooked on Jim Reeves' warm and great voice.
Bobby Bare was the next a couple of years until '68 when I heard the LP "Hagin' on"
with Waylon which a childhood friend had bought!
And that's all, Waylon since then!
I have all of his own recordings. On vinyl or CD. By all means I like and listen to others artist
too, particular Willie but Kris, Johnny and Nancy Griffith are artists that I
appreciate.
I saw Waylon and Jessi in concert in '87 when they visit Norway. I met him in the foyer after the show. I got four autographs of him and he told us that he was glad that he was alive. (He had just gone through a tripple by-pass surgery)
I saw the Highwaymen in concert here in Norway in '92 and Willie alone in '92.
I often listen to my favorite music while enjoying another great hobby of
mine, building RC-soaring aeroplanes. A great combination during the
long dark winters we have up here in the north.
My Favorites are:
1. WAYLON (link to my Waylon stuff)
2. Waylon & Willie
3. The Highwaymen
4. Willie
5. Niel Young
6. Kris
7. Nanci Griffith
8. Kimmie Rhodes
9. Jessie Colter
10. Johnny
& Bobby Bare, Jim Reeves, Bob Dyland, Skeeter Davis,
Tom Pacheco, Steinar Albrightsen, Mark Knopfler, Dire Straits, Jonas Fjeld......
Magnor.
