I have written rating, birth place, when they was born and age.
If same rating, then most activity since previous rating list, will be placed first.

I show the difference between the previous rating list and the recent rating list.
The position on the previous rating list will be in parentheses.
I also show the number of games since previous rating list,
while the change from the preceding period will be in parentheses.

I guess you will find more up to date photos of the players in their profile at FIDE.
The profile can be found easily from the side where you see rating progress for the player.

With the rating inflation that has taken place, it's amazing that Fischer
still is among the top 10. Getting 2785 rating points in 1972 is impressive!

Explanation of the ELO rating system.

The formula for calculating points:

K * (Res-(1/(1+10^((R1-R2)/400))))

* = multiply.
/ = divided by.
^ = to the power of.
K = 10 for chess players with 2400 or more in rating.
Res = 1 for victory; 0,5 for draw; og 0 for loss.
R1 = rating for the chess player with lowest rating.
R2 = rating for the chess player with highest rating.

5,7 poeng for seier, mens -50 under kolonne D, viser 4,3 poeng for seier
til den med høyeste rating. 5-5,7 gir -0,7 poeng for remis til den med
høyeste rating, og 5-4,3 gir +0,7 poeng for remis til den med laveste rating.

I kalkulatoren på eksemplet Carlsen 2801 - Leko 2752. Tast inn følgende:
Rating 2801, Rc 2752, W 1 for seier; 0,5 for remis; 0 for tap og K val 10
(K val 10 gjelder spillere som har minimum 2400 i rating).
Da kommer det opp +4,3 som betyr at Carlsen fyears old 4,3 poeng for seier.

Har hatt besøkstellere tidligere også, men begge kollapset etter en tid.

Styears old i statistikken fra 25.september, men ble registrert da,
og lå nede til 1.oktober, da besøkstellingen egentlig startet.

Hjemmesida lå nede cirka fra 1.mai til 1.juli 2009 pga. sørverskifte.
