STARTING FEE KR 50,- , INCL. MAP + DESCRIPTION Trondheim Round Trip can be enjoyed both on foot and on skis. Walking the tracks is at your own risk. Especially during winter the weather conditions should be considered carefully. During the winter season it is assumed that tracks 4-8 are for skiing only. Walking by foot in the Bymarka ski tracks is not allowed. This must be accepted. However, if the snow is compact and hard, exceptions can be made. The ski tracks are for skiers and skiers must be prioritised. Control posts are mostly to be found along paths and roads, and should be easily accessible for skiers as well. Tracks 1, 2 and 3. Start: Shell gas station, Elgeseter Bus: Southbound buslines from city center, exit the bus on the bus stop marked “Studentersamfundet”. REMEMBER REGISTRATION/STAMPING IN START AND FINISH AREA. Tracks 1-8: Your designated starting card should be stamped in the stamping clock in the gas station for each track in order to get the distance approved. The card should have 16 stamps when the walkaround is completed. Tracks 6-8: The restaurant I Granåsen is open from 10-15. Outside the opening hours you have to write in the walkaround book, which is located in the mailbox outside the restaurant in Granåsen. (The “Sparebank”-cabin between the parking lot and ski jump area.) Starting number, name and time should be entered in the book. Track descriptions and starting cards are valid three years from date of purchase. The walkaround must be completed within three calendar years. The tracks can be walked in the order you like, but it is recommended to walk in the direction suggested by the track descriptions. It is not allowed to start a new walkaround before all distances in the current walkaround are completed. All tracks must be completed to get the walkaround approved. It is not allowed to e.g. walk track 7 ten times and expect to have the walkaround approved. The tracks are not marked, but the track descriptions should provide enough details to find your way around in the tracks. There are a number of manual control posts in the tracks. Some of those are mentioned in the track description. The signs are 20x30 cm and white with blue text and/or numbers (see next page). Where the question mark is visible you should write down in the control sheet the date and time for the track you are currently walking. Some of the control posts are staffed. You can have your card stamped there for validation; otherwise you have to write down the control post. The control sheet should be filled in with the correct number of control posts, which is stated in the track description. When the starting card has 16 stamps and all manual control posts are valid, the last sheet in the book should be filled in with name, address, number of completions, starting date (dd/mm/yy) and ending date (dd/mm/yy). After this the participant can have an IVV-stamp and any awards that may apply for the walkaround. Completed walkaround is eligible for 120 km and 3 participant stamps. IVV-stamping is conducted in these alternative manners:
IVV-stamps would also be available on other arrangements where members of the committee are present. In addition you have the possibility to get an IVV-stamp by contacting the organizer directly (Magnar Bakken/Birger Mogstad/Roar Bardal). IVV-stamping for completed walkaround must be done in the same year as the walkaround was finished. After completing walkarounds, the Participants can buy fabric distinctions for NOK 30 (available also for 10 times), and pins in bronze, silver and gold, for 1, 3 and 5 years of walking, respectively. (I.e. 4 walkarounds during one year only gives you the possibility to buy one distinction only!) Most tracks are located in the woods. It is therefore recommended that the participants carry food and drinks along themselves. We hope that the participants enjoy the walk. Remember, Each kilometre is a healthy one, even if it is completed in a comfortable speed.
