Vaagen Rom & Cottage rental are situated in Vikøy about 3,5 km from Norheimsund
(map) in Hardanger, where
we have a small farm. We
grow christmas trees and fruit.
Leisure
Activities
The surroundings are inviting to a range of activities:
mountain walks, fishing, boat trips on the fjord, horseback riding and
swimming. Main attractions
include; the ´Goldfish-lake,` the `Steinsdalsfossen` waterfall (one of
the most visited in Norway – you can walk under it!), the Glacier
`Folgefonna` and its ski-lift, which allows you to ski even in summer (the
trip to the glacier is an experience in itself), `Hardanger Fartøyvernsenter`
- a Wooden vessel preservation shipyard where you can get a guided tour
to see how the work of the boatbuilders for yourself, as well as other
museums of various kinds. Distance
to Bergen or Voss from us is about 80km.
