"SHADOWS FESTIVALEN 2002"

FRIDAY 7 AND SATURDAY 8 JUNE 2002

We are now happy to invite you to "Shadows Festivalen 2002". In Oslo, Norway Friday June 7th and the main day Saturday June 8th 2002.
And we are this year VERY proud to say we have "BRUCE WELCH'S SHADOWS" with Phil Kelly - Alan Jones - Cliff Hall and Bob Watkins and this is the first concert with his band outside the UK. So this will for sure be something very special!!
This is a "Thank you" concert from Bruce's side for all the fans in Norway who was so kind and made the Norwegian Shadows compilation CD "Kon -Tiki, De Beste 1960 - 1980" to a large hit in Norway, it sold to gold just in 14 days!!

We do start out also this year on Friday June 7th with a get together with some bands in the pub and then later in the evening in the nightclub for even more "warming up" to the main day which is Saturday June 8th.
We have also this year a GREAT selection of very good bands for our festival and we hope that even more people from abroad will visit us as it seems like we make more and more new friends from all over the world for each festival, we can promise you a GREAT weekend in Oslo!!
We are very proud to say we have for this year some original Norwegian Shadows bands, like "THE SAUNTERS", a great band who had a lot of hits back in the 60's, just to mention one "Domino" Hearing this band "live" again after all this years will really be something special!!
And then even one more great original Norwegian band from the 60's "THE FALCONS" with all the original guys from 60's.........remember "Piggtråd", we for sure will hear this.
Also for this festival we are pleased to have "THE PISTOLEROS" these Norwegian guys has a unique sound that we all like so much!
And we would not miss out "THE REFLECTIONS" this year........these young guys just get's better and better and we are proud to again have them at our festival.
We have this year been so lucky and got from Sweden "THE RYDERS" this being one the best instrumental band coming from Sweden, we look much forward to hear them at our festival.
And also this year we have "THE FESTIVAL BOYS" the band who never seems to amaze us...........and they will also do this year!

A very good hotel just outside the main city of Oslo and a few minutes from the airport Gardermoen. So it should be no problem for those of you from abroad who want to visit us.
We have a very good deal for hotelroom for our guests, so don't hesitate if you would like to visit us! The rooms go "fast" so do book in as soon as possible. (Last year we sold out in March!)
Some lines for your info. when you do to order a hotelroom, this is the number + (47)23 15 59 10 and you "must" mention that you will be at "Shadows Festivalen 2002" This is important as you then will have a special Shadows Festival price!

And ofcourse also via email....The ticket for "Shadows Festivalen 2002" is Norwegian Kr.400,- This being a ticket for the whole day and for the evening show, don't wait as we have a limited number of tickets!

This year we will also have a get together at the hotels night club on the evening of Friday June 7th, the day before the main day! It will be 50&60's music heard from a popular DJ. And there will also be live music from RADIO LUX BAND and also other bands. It will a good way to getting to know each other and for those of you who like to dance, this will be it!
