This site is here to distribute my music to anyone that wants to hear it. These are all my own original songs, and I try to keep posting things here as I finish projects.
I currently am using the Roland VS1880 and VS880EX hard drive recorders. These are fantastic machines to record on, and I have a Yamaha An1x also. I am primarily a guitarist though. I try my hand at bass, mandolin, slide-guitar, keyboards. The drums on all tracks is the Boss DR-770. I don't play drums. Trying to learn all the time how drums work in songs. This is all learning.
Some people have mentioned....my "style" ranges quite a bit. I have always loved music and though some of my favorites are old acoustic blues from the 20's on up. I love rock, blues, classical, (not country though for some reason) and jazz especially. Anyway, I would love to hear any comments,

He Hated His Hat 2.8 Mb/3:02 min (128kbs)
Instrumental, short song. Billy Cobham style drums, 4 main parts.
This one moves fast, is rock style, and a lot of different influences.

Head In Texas 3.5 Mb/2:55 Min (160 kbit-sec)
This is an instrumental version of the song. I've been working on this song for years now (first wrote it in 1998) and have some lyrics but am stuck. You can probably picture the melody for it if you hear the song "I got my head in Texas, But my feets in New Orleans (2x then...) And if you don't know what I mean, then you...don't know what I mean"...anyway, I got sick of not having the lyrics..so I jammed with it a bit. This is just a high-energy jam. Probably coulda gotten a better take, But I liked it for its' energy.

MILES TO GO... 2.5 Mb/ 2:43 Min
This is a brand new (as of June 3, 2003) song, I have been working for a long time on this, mostly on the lyrics. I think this is about the best lyrics I have so far done. I kept the song simple. Still working on different versions of it but I like this one best so far.

THANG 3.7 MB/4:07 min
Instrumental. This is a hendrixy-song. No vocals, strictly instrumental. I intended to sing but it just seemed like overkill after I got the guitar laid down.

Shot in The Dark 3.8 MB/4:41 min.
Lyrics. This is a song about the random, fickle, chances for love. That it often hits you like a "lightnin' strike" when you absolutely least expect it. Not exactly an earth shaking revelation, but I like the song. It moves.

Howl 4.7 MB/5:06 min.
Lyrics. Dark song. Like a city blues...slow...thumping.."on the sidewalk..
outlined in white chalk....is the last trace, of my happy face". Okay...not exactly an upper...but I tried to do it with a little humor too.

Rocks In My Shoes 2.7 MB/2:55 min.
Lyrics. Upbeat, jazzy-blues (twin guitars) song for a persong that has "rocks" all over. Things get rocky is is good to have a song to sing.
