THE END OF TORNADO 45

History:
The Tornado 45 + 05 ended its life at Bø in Steigen 30. July 1999.
Both pilots survived and every thing was all right, we all thought.
But 6. September the canopy exsploded when my friend, Henning, my dad and I was standing near by.
Henning and I were brought to the hospital at once.
There they fixed our damages and pulled out a lot of lead-fragments.
The day after I could go home, but my friend had to stay there until the week after.
My dad was not hurt that much.
Now we are all ok and the 13. October we and the rest of our families had one of our most exciting days in our lifetime.
We were invited to Bodø Military airport, to meet some people from the German and Norwegian airforce.
We were also guided around at the airport. But the most exciting thing for us, was the trip by helicopter from Steigen to Bodø and back again. And most of all; we got the chance to sit in the cockpit of a real Tornado!!
