Daniel Østvold and Geir Strøm: Inspector Mathisen is the toughest cop in Oslo. She is also the heroine of "Mathisen går på café", a one chapter comic printed in Kriminell Twist no. 3, 1996. Strangely, the magazine folded shortly afterwards... Inspector Mathisen is drawn by Daniel Østvold. The series was intended as a gently humorous hommage to the TV whodunnits of our childhood, of which Daniel and I share a nostalgic love. The first chapter would have been followed by "Mathisen går på galleri", "Mathisen går på utstilling" og "Mathisen går i kirke". We're still hoping that one day a bold editor will emerge who dares take Mathisen on! |
