Musicians
The cover doesn't contain information on who's playing, but the latest information (August 2004) is that Kim Simmonds of Savoy Brown is playing on certain tracks, but I don't know which tracks...

Dana's releases

This is a Mike Vernon production. Arranger and musical director: Terry Noonan. Photography by Gered Mankowitz.

With this release - bought June 2002 - my Dana Gillespie-collection is nearly complete. I do still miss some singles from the 1960's and some others, but I will keep on searching...

Here you also got a couple of great and bluesy tunes.

As you can see the cover has been signed both by Dana Gillespie and Kim Simmonds.

The beginning of August 2004 I had the pleasure to meet Kim Simmonds of Savoy Brown at Notodden Bluesfestival, Norway. Some months back I sent him an email regarding his participation on this record, but he replayed it was so long ago he could'nt remember whether playing on it or not. Notodden Bluesfestival always has this Workshop in a small library where you will be able to hear the musicians play and talking about their instrument or they talk about their lives in Blues. This year we had the fantastic opportunity to hear The British Blues Masters - Tom McGuinness, Guy Fletcher, Long John Baldry, Kim Simmonds, Peter Green (!) and Colin Allen (former drummer in the exceptional group Stone The Crows) talking about their experiences in the British blues history. Just tremendous! A short anekdote - Peter Green felt in sleep a couple of times during the one hour session!
