DANA
GILLESPIE
She's
been in the business for "decades". She started as drummer in
her very early youth, British water-ski champion, actress, participated
in several musicals... Dana
used to hang around with David Bowie,
Mick Ronson, Andy
Warhol. Bowie
and Ronson did also produce
a couple of her albums in the early '70s. Bob
Dylan calls her whenever he's in Britain. She also a did
a tour with him some years back.
You
can't avoid to be a fan of such a Lady. Up to now I have about 104 releases
feat. Dana
Gillespie
and lots of magazines and pictures.
Do
yourself a favoure and check her out!

BUGS
HENDERSON Mr.
Shuffle King comes from Houston, Texas. In the '60s he
played in a group called Mouse And The Traps.
He's
still goin' strong. His son, Buddy,
plays drums in The Shuffle Kings.
For
all who: "Have Blues...Must Rock"! |

MOJO
BLUES BAND
A
fantastic band from Wien, Austria. They have been in the business for
about 25 years. Earlier on they played a mix of blues and zydeco/cajun.
They bluesroots go back to Chicago and Louisiana. These days it's a bit
more traditional blues... |
 |
THE
INMATES
The Inmates
was one of the first groups I got into in the early '80s. So you can say
their music has followed me in "thick 'n' thin" ever since.
They're just incredible. |

MICKEY
JUPP
Mickey
Jupp's A Legend. Period! |
 |
STEVE
GIBBONS
The
Ultimate Rock 'n' Roller!
I
guess his first band was The
Ugly's
once in the '60s. A collection of their stuff will be available in May
2004.
He
got one of my Top-10 party tunes: "B.S.A."! |

BLUES
'N' TROUBLE
Scottish
Rockin' Blues
lads fronted by the terrific harmonica player Tim
Elliott. This picture is from a live gig in Odda (vest
in Norway), 2002.
Alan
"Scotty" Scott
- the bass player - has now quit the band (early 2004). Pity!
The
band who got me into music. I love this 'em! |
 |
ROD
PIAZZA &
THE MIGHTY FLYERS
I love the blues of Rod "Gingerman"
and his wife Honey, Bill
Stuve and related. The Most Lovin' Blues On The Planet
Earth!

RORY
BLOCK (new April 2004)
She
is borned Aurora
Block.
The first album I got by Rory
is her participating on an album by Stefan
Grossman called "How
To Play Blues Guitar". An amazing blues guitar
picker and a stunning voice! Picture from Notodden
Bluesfestival, 2000. Here with the legendary John
Sebastian on harmonica. |
 |
BIG
JOE LOUIS & HIS BLUES KINGS
(new May 2004)
Here
you have the Jamaica-borned ultimate Blues Shouter Big
Joe Louis,
but living in England. His first LP came in 1989 on Mike
Vernon's legendary label Blue
Horizon Records. On his next release he was teamed by another
wonderful harmonica player with this unique soul vocal Little
George Sueref. The picture is taken by me at the Molde
Jazzfestival, Norway, July 22nd, 2001. Big
Joe Louis then fronted Big
Town Playboys. |

STONE
THE CROWS FEAT. MAGGIE BELL
(new May 2005)
This
gorgeous Scotish band released their first album in 1969. Even though
they grew quite big in their home town Glasgow in the late '60s and early
'70's, they aren't too well-known among the people today... Do yourself
a favour and listen to the stunning vocal of Maggie
Bell
and the guitar playing of Leslie Harvey!
Blues rock at its best, if you ask me! |
