Looking for big European tournaments? Sadly, with the cancellation of the Challenge Series this year, there will be very few "Premiere Events" in our continent for a while. In addition to GenCon UK in April, we'll have the Norwegian Championship in June, a fan made tornament with lots of players and lots of prizes. But what exactly and when exactly is this Norwegian tournament? Here is everthing you need to know: Norwegian Championships 2003 Everything you need to know Date: June 15th, 2003 Location: University of Oslo, Oslo Age groups: 12- and 13+ (Age Modified Swiss) Format: Pokémon Modified Constructed* Expected player number: 80-100 Rounds: 5-6, with Top 16 Entrance fee: nkr 50 TO: Rune Horvik (yeah, THE Rune Horvik) Judges: Master Professor Eskil Vestre, Master Professor Steven Widlic, Professor Pablo Jacamo, Tobias Langhoff. -='[Prizes]'=-: 1st place in each age bracket will get the following prizes: - Game Boy Advance SP Nintendo's ultra-cool, brand new handheld console! - Pokémon Ruby The new GBA Pokémon game. Be one of the first proud owners of the European version of the game! - 15 boosters of Skyridge The brand new Pokemon-e Expansion - 5 boosters of Aquapolis - One of each of the Winner Promos released so far and one Jumbo promo! - Lots of extra surprises! Second place will receive much of the same, but instead of GBA SP with Ruby, they'll get a Nintendo e-Reader!
