Lameth35: Unfortunately no...As far as I am aware Chris Just upped and left one day. He did leave owing the UK office a lot of DLQ tournaments though for both Pokemon and Magic.

Lameth35: I did hear through one of the mothers of the one of the players that play's every week. If you are organising tournaments that's great and if you are over 18 and wish to become a TO and have them sanctioned then call me tomorrow on

Lameth35: In Answer to Q3: There are some limited quantity's of year 3 promo's already in the country (ie about 50 of each of the Foil Energy Cards and a few others) that MTM gave our office when he came over for GenCon.
Dark Mazakala: Q4,Mazakala. The cardiff pokemon league runs once permonth, any chance of it being sanctioned? from this list, it does not seem that it is...

Lameth35: I am currently speaking with both MTM and one of the OP logistics guys to see if I can get more Year 3 Promo's for a reasonable price BUT I cannot promise anything as next years budget is already provisionally allocated.

Lameth35: In Answer to Q4: When we spoke to Cardiff Games today they said that they had no plans to continue with the Pokemon League. If they wish to sanction tournaments all Sam (The storeowner) has to do is ask me and we can sanction them

Lameth35: In Answer to Q5: At the moment we are looking to possibly hold one Gym Challenge within the UK. (As we already held one at GenCon UK 2002. Though the where & when have yet tbd.
Lameth35: Though the tournament will probably be in the South East somewhere.
Lameth35: In Answer to Q6: As far as I am aware we are all set to get Battlezone in the New Year (During January)
Dark Mazakala: Q7 Mazakala. You have cut down the 4 independant challenges to 1. is this due to bujet or lack of interest in pokemon of the wizards contract to keep the pokemon TCG game going?

Lameth35: We have actually cut the qualifiers (for Worlds to 2003) down to 2 (from 4). This cut back is due to budget cuts, which have happened all across the board in the UK.
Michel1be: Question 8 - Michel : there are more US people at the European chat than European at the US chat, thanks US friends :-) Lee, what could European Professors/players do to help the game and the community in the UK if necessary ?
Lameth35: That's a tough one - The first is continue doing what they are already doing. They do a great job in kepping leagues going in there locaitons for which we at WOTC UK are already very grateful.. Other ideas....
Lameth35: With the new Battlezone Kits talk to you local stores/hobby shops that are not already running leagues and try and convince them to run them. especially by offering to help run the league on their behalf in there store

Lameth35: Run more sanctioned tournaments - the bigger the number the more likely you are to get support. Also run larger events..something like Ben's (Gillingham Gamers Guild) challenge event on the 15th December.

Lameth35: We are now fully intergrated with the Hasbro Warehouse in Newport and have a dedicated member of staff who only deals with OP distribution with the UK & Ireland

Lameth35: He will also be taking over the day to day running of all leagues in the UK (ie Pokemon, Magic Arena etc).
