 BY DAVID GARLAND AND ESKIL VESTRE The single-player game has three different challenges to do, depending on the certain character you get. Conker will have an action-based game, with the squirrel attacking enemies directly, like Banjo. Berri will have a strategy-based, nurturing a monster companion and using it to confront enemies. Or, a player can take flight with Conker's friend owl, Knowit, turning the game into a shoot-em'-up. This is one of the four different ways to play the game.. But, when you play this game, you'll see something amazing. You won't just see stuff like in Mario 64, you'll actually see the animals hopping around, looking sad and happy, peeking around trees, and getting excited when they know there's an acorn or a conker nearby (other than this courageous squirrel, a conker is a type of nut, kind of like a acorn). The animals will move just like I just said, and that's when you're standing still! When you're walking, Conker, Berri, Knowit..... whoever you are, will be looking around, sniffing the ground, picking flowers, taking drinks from ponds. They'll stop to do all of this! Conker's discovery of an acorn nearby can be seen in this sequence of screen shots. At first, he doesn't see the nut, than he spies it and gets all giddy and excited. YUM!!!! But, Conker's expressions aren't always just something the programmers put in so you can have a fun time. They are usually clues that can help you with game play. He'll discover acorns and conkers, treasure chests, and other things. These things are vital to your success! Also, this game has the type of music you'd expect to hear. With Berri, the music would be a flute, with conker it would be like a saxaphone, and some drums for the owl this game will have types of magic, things realistic, and ALOT of cartoony things. 
In this game, there are difficult jumps, large territories to explore, keys to win and objects to find. RARE plans to include seven vehicles that Conker and Berri will use in later stages. For the first few stages, Conker will wear nothing at all but his sneakers and blue and yellow shirt. In the later stages, he will wear the appropriate hat for that stage...... In the game, he goes into a mine, and wears one of those mine-hats that have lights in them. In a different stage, which is a farm stage, he wears a farmer hat and has a long piece of grass in his mouth. In a stage where he goes to Rome, he will where a golden hat >from Rome. And in a park in a city, he'll wear a baseball cap. It will be all different. I'm still wondering how Conker gets to Rome, but, maybe he goes back in time or something. Also, the game is so realistic that when Conker comes out of a soak in the pool or comes sliding down a waterfall, the next time he steps on land, he'll shake off the water, and when you start walking, you'll notice footprints in the sand. You'll also notice footprints when you walk through the mud. You'll make footprints in the mud. Then, when you get out of the mud, you'll have muddy shoes, leaving tracks of mud. Some other moves that Conker is able to do are..... scurrying up trees, all of Mario's moves, all of Banjo's moves (without the help of Kazooie) plus other moves, like triple flips, and hopping on the backs of badguys. There are many other moves, but I don't know them all...... yet Some people might think that Berri is the better character. She likes to nurture an enemy, than lead it into charging through other enemies, so that she can just walk through, without breaking a fingernail! But, the best part about her, other than being able to ride your enemies, is that everything that comes her way is strategy. It's like a completely different game! She is said to be smarter than Conker This means that all of Berri's part of the game is puzzle, strategy, something you'd expect from her. She looks completely different from Conker. Instead of being a squirrel, she's a chipmunk. She wears a blue, tanktop-type shirt, and she has a plaid, orange and dark green skirt. She has a long pony tail at the back, which is tied by an orange bow, and she has long bangs, which go across her wide, sparkly eyes.
