Musical facts:
Vaar Frelsers kirke has an excellent room for conserts as well as for services, and many musical events have taken place in it. Many of the most well-known choirworks have been presented by local and visiting choir's. With room for over 850 visitors and excellent accoustic conditions, the church is also used for gospel and jazzconcerts during the Sildajazz etc.

The Steinmeyer main organ
situated on the gallery over the entrance in west.
New main organ from Verscuren ordered summer 98 - ready 2003.
The choir-organ
built by Robert Gustavsson, Sweden, is situated in the left front of the church.
The carillons
With 36 bells from Olsen Nauen klokkestøperi was installed in the 160 feet high tower of the church in 1988. It can be played on by a keybord on the organ-gallery, or automatically through a computer-system, using 3,5" floppydisk's for the recordings.
The choir-organ and carillions were made possible through the efforts of among others the former organist Bjarne Dankel and the local businessman Karl Johan Stensland.

Established 1888 / 1934 / 1954. Choir leader:Leiv Rossehaug
Today a mixed choir of about 25 members ( Age 47 - 75 ).

Established 1993. Choir leader: Njaal Steinsland
Mixed choir with about 35 members ( Age 17 - 50 )
