Did not bother to refurbish the original carb, have done it for a friend since that though. Made a good buy on ebay, on a Mikuni VM34.
Had some (expected) hassle with jettings, cutaway and so forth, but now runs like a charm...

Note the original carb below - more parts than in transistor radio - had to let it go - very ugly too.....

Here's not one, but two motors ready for refurbishment, hope it will be a straightforward job. Motor on the right is my friend Steve's
stock ratbike's - it will not be polished, has never been touched by human hands or wrenches....
Mine has developed a thirst for oil and some rattling, proving to be the cambearings.
