"Night and Day" or "The Chameleon
Quilt" by Eldrid Røyset Førde (aefoerde@online.no) 120 x 120 cm I made this quilt in 1998, and it was selected for the "First
Horizon"-exhibition in Feb.99. It was also voted favourite quilt by the
audiences at the Quilt Fairs in Brugge, Belgium in March 99, and in York, UK in
April 99. And the quilt was presented at the The curved 3D triangels which are inserted between each of the 25 blocks can
be turned either side and buttoned down. In the first picture the triangles are
buttoned on to the yellow blocks, and they all show the purple sides. This is
the starry Night. |
On the second picture they are buttoned to the blue-green blocks, and show their pink sides. Now it is a sunny Day. These were the two looks I had in mind when planning the quilt. But I was in for a surprise |
