About Me
I am a 51 year old man living in Norway who has been collecting material on UFOs and the paranormal, science, science fiction and all sorts of miscellaneous stuff for many years and I have amassed a rather substantial collection of DVDs, VHS tapes, tv shows, tv documentaries, books, magazines and so on. This site is a brave attempt at getting organized and allow other people access to my collection. It is my hope that people will find some of this stuff interesting, maybe discover some movies, television programs or books they've never heard about and contact me if they do. Practically all the shows in the ufo and paranormal lists were recorded off-air by me on PAL VHS tapes and can be copied to PAL VHS MONO SP tapes or PAL DVD. For short segments I can send the .vob file from the DVD online. However, I will not copy anything that is commercially available from official sources. My update list covers most everything I do with the site and is often amended.
Site explanation:
On the left you will find a list of internal links. Most of them are self-explanatory but I will describe a few in detail. Let's start with vtownrec. It stands for video tapes own recordings. This is a list of most tv shows and documentaries I have recorded up through the years on PAL VHS tape. The list is a simple html file and should therefore display properly wherever you choose to open it. Please use fixed-width fonts if possible. In the beginning I used to watch one show per day of the shows I had recorded and wrote down names of narrators and interview subjects. I soon realized that this list would become huge, so I made three more lists, one called paranormal documentaries, the second called UFO documentaries and the third called miscellaneous TV. Links are on the left. Every time I finished writing up a show in vtownrec I would copy that show to the appropriate secondary list so that people who were looking for only paranormal documentaries or UFO documentaries wouldn't have to wade through a lot of irrelevant material. I'm still working on these lists but not on a regular basis as I no longer record on PAL VHS. When I can find the time I will finish writing up every show in the vtownrec list. Up through the years I have experimented with different ways of presenting these lists, such as in databases or in spreadsheets but every time I fall back on the humble html file. If anyone has any suggestions on how to present them better please contact me at arthur dot engh at gmail dot com :-) If for some reason you don't like how the major lists appear in your browser, just use the view -> source option and they should look like any other standard text file.
If you have any suggestions, questions or requests please contact me at arthur dot engh at gmail dot com or artengh on Skype. You can also use the guestbook or forum on the right. If possible I will answer immediately unless I am working or sleeping... :) My local time is here.
