Arne Austarheim is my name and I live in Sauda which is situated in Ryfylke Rogaland ,the western part of Norway.

My life
I'm the youngest of three children. I've got a brother,Terje, and a sister ,Mari. He works at the factory,Eramet, and she works as Cabin chief in the national airline Braathens.
As a youngster I did many crazy things and could best be described as the life of Calvin in "Calvin & Hobbes" !!!
I calmed down as the years passed !!!
Here's my CV :
After finishing high school (1985) I worked for 6 months on the local factory,then Elkem Sauda - now Eramet Norway.
After that I went into mandatory military training.I was in the coastguard and spent 3 weeks on Odderøya before I was transferred to Håkonsvern (KNM Tordenskjold) in Bergen. I stayed there for 3 months and learnt morse code and light blinking and much other stuff.When that was finished I could call myself a radio- and signal man.
When I had finished my training I was shipped to Harstad (up north) and served at Trondenes signalstation. A small place with only 100 military men.
I had a nice time there !
After finishing the military i went to Bergen to study at the University in 1987.
At first I lived in my cousins little cabin at Sotra before I moved to Fantoft Student city 3 months later where I lived in the same flat for 6 years !
I was a part of the oldest local radiostation in Norway ,"The Studentradio" where I took part in the making of the show "Thursdaymorning" for 3 years.
I also sang in the studentchoir "Crux". When I started there we were 30 people and when I quit we were 130 !!!
I had a nice time there !
The subjects I took in Bergen were : Exam Philisophicum + method learning
Basic Psychology,Basic Sociology and Advanced Administration and organisation ,Basic English and Basic Pedagogic.
I finished Christmas 1993 and then went back home to Sauda where i worked as a substitution teacher at different childrenschools.
I got a steady position at Sauda lower secondary school (junior high) august 1994. I've been there since !
When I came home i started singing in the local church choir (bass) and have been leading the choir since February 1998. In 1997 the choir went on tour to Nicaragua where we sang a local hero's work "Misa Campasina" by Carlos Majia Goodoy. We met him there and we even took part in his television show in Nicaragua ! We also sang traditional norwegian folksongs. We stayed 4 days in San Juan del Sur" which is Sauda's "friendship city". A great time and something to remember for life !
I was in the Child- and Youth council from January '95 to Christmas 2001,the last 4 years as leader.
September '95 I joined Morten Brekke in running Betel Youthchoir. Due to lack of interest in singing,we ended the choir and now run a regular Tuesdayclub instead. There the youth can play cards,roleplay,relax and eat french fries and candy in our café.The youths are between 13 and 19.
Every 3 year we take a trip and we were in Gothenburg in 1996 and 2002 and Copenhagen in 1999. We sleep at the Norwegian Seamanschurch and have a great time !!!
I was elected to the Congregation Council and served the 1997 - 2001 term. Interesting ,but lots of paper to read !
My interests are first and foremost two things
Music
I like everything from punk to opera,but I think my main place is aming commercial music and stuff on the hitlists.More so before then now.
I've always been weak about good old rock'n'roll and artists such as Shakin' Stevens,Elvis Presley,Eddie Cochran and Ricky Nelson.

Movie is my other great passion. I love comedies,thrillers and science fictions !
My favourites are "Weekend at Bernie's","Death zone" (good psychological film) and "ID4 - Independence day".
As I've already said I teach at Sauda junior high.I teach the following subjects :
English,Religion,social studies and english in depth. .
