Norwegian Matters
Everything you wanted to know (and be known) about Norway and Norwegian affairs
- here are some links that will give you (sometimes educational) information on Norway and Norwegian affairs (but also some in Norwegian). NB! A lot of teachers ask me about work in Norway (how to get a teacher's job, where to apply etc.) It is impossible for me to answer you all. My best bet is to go to the newsgroup no.skole.diverse. This is the place where everybody in the Norwegian educational system will meet to exchange views and concerns. You can, of course, write in English. The bulletin board for Norwegian experiences should also prove useful
- Working in Norway
- U.S. Embassy: for educators in Norway
Norway Post The weekly paper (in English) to keep you on top of Norwegian affairs: News, Business, Oil & gas, Culture, Travel, Counties etc. etc.
- Norwaves This link gives you access to Norwegian news in English. (Great for keypals). Also, there are many more links to both Norwegian search engines and other sources of information about Norway.
- The British Council, Norway with The British Council - Norway - Forthcoming Events
- Embla Norwegian cultural magazine in English.

- Sons of Norway. A "stabbur" (storehouse) of information about all things Norwegian built by expatriates in the US.
- Make the SN Norway Link - extensive information on Norwegian Businesses, News, and Travel, plus a Picture Gallery and The Yellow Pages. You may go directly to the region of Telemark where I live (Skien). (Norwegian-Americans will find genealogy).
- Norway Info All you ever wanted to know about Norway but never thought of asking. Actually, this is very good. Recommended.
- Henrik Ibsen's home page - the famous playwright's finally on the net as well.
