Epica is our youngest little queen. She lives together with Affen at Gjøvik for the moment. Here is what Affen says about her: Epica is an amazing cat. She's extremely cuddly, cute and kind. Everyone who meets her falls in love immediately. She's also very playful and funny. And social, of course, like all Somalis. She follows me everywhere; kitchen, bathroom, bedroom - you name it. When I'm watching movies, she often lays in my lap. When I'm working on the computer, she often climbs up on my shoulders. And if I'm too busy to give her the attention she craves, she just jumps down on the keyboard, making sure she's got my full and complete attention. She loves to walk around in the garden, but she's always wearing a harness and leash when she's outside. Also, she likes to climb trees. There's a cute little apple tree in the garden, just tall enough that she can climb it while I'm standing beneath holding the leash. When I go for walks, Epica walks along, just like a little dog, either if we're going to the vet downtown, or just around the block. Fetching toys is one of her favorite activities. Even if I'm throwing the toy mouse up on the attic or out in the hall, she won't give up until she finds it. Epica attended a show here at Gjøvik in June this year, and she got very good reviews on Saturday, and she even got a nomination. |

Brillanta is my wonderful girl from the B-litter. Because my beloved Berenike died right before I was going to sell the B kittens, I just had to keep one of the baby girls. When she was a kitten, she was quite reserved and not very cosy, but she's developed to be so confident and safe, and she really loves to cuddle. She purrs like a lion, and she's got the most brilliant temper I have seen. She loves to wash my nose while we cuddle, and when she does that to the judges they are sold, ha ha. She's been nominated many times, but unfortunately she's not reached the BIS yet, most times with only one missing vote. Brillanta is also extremely playful, and I suspect that's why she hasn't got the run yet (ha ha). Not time to be a mother when we have to play ourselves all the time... We have been expecting her period since February, but by August it's still missing! Her first favourite toys were hairbands. After a while she laid her love on a felt ball with a crackle sound. When this one disappeared, she found a string that once was a «fishing rod», but now only the string with a feather and a bell remains. Every day she's coming to me carrying this toy in her mouth for a playtime. Because of the sound of the bell you cannot trick her, she always hears where it's landing. Very often the bell falls off, but still she finds the toy everytime, using both her ears, eyes and nose to search for it. | |

Arietta is my sweet girl from our first Somali litter. She must be the kindest cat in the whole world... Although she's quite careful and can be a bit jumpy sometimes, she's still the most calm cat when I do noisy work like for example vacuum cleaning. She loves to cuddle, but she prefers it when I sit in my office chair by my PC. When she wants to cuddle, it has to go on this way: She jumps into my lap and starts the «paw step», and I have to hold my right hand on her left side that turns away from me, so that she can lean against it and lay down on her right side in my lap. Then she tramples and tramples and purrs while I stroke her stomach. She's put her love into paper balls, and every time I crumple up a piece of paper to throw in the garbage, she comes right away and wants me to throw it across the floor for her. If I do, she runs to it and carries it in her mouth, sometimes back to me so I can throw it once more. She's got very good critics at shows, she's gained both BIS and BIV, and she's reached the IC title. She's the mother of our E-, F- and J-litter, and she did an excellent job and enjoyed to be a mom. |

Raman aka Herman is the most magnificient male I can imagine. His temper is super, and he is the father of 5 beautiful litters, totally 18 offsprings. Two of his litters have been with S*Windjammer's Lollipop, because Gøran Vinje finds him so gorgeous she had to borrow him twice for mating her female. Even when he was fertile he had the most sweet, calm and gentle temper, he always had time to cuddle, and he almost never sprayed. He is a nice boy who wants to be friend with everybody, and he handles females very gently. Unfortunately he doesn't go very well along with our stud Rondo, who takes him for being a rival despite that he is a neuter now. When we have an unfamiliar cat visiting, and she is afraid of our cats, she always gets along with Herman first, because he has this calm attitude. Herman is an International Champion, he has been nominated a couple of times, and he has become BIS once. | litters pictures |

Hera is the oldest of my present Somalis. She's kind of special in the way that she doesn't like too much cuddling. She enjoys to be around us, and when you give her a tender scratch on her head and under her cheak, she purrs, but she's quite shy and doesn't like neither noisy children nor Rondo's teasing, so unfortunately she spends a lot of time under the coach. She's the mother of our A-, B-, C- and H-litter. She's a very responsible mother to her kittens, and when Arietta had kittens a few months after Hera's kittens had moved out, she got very jealous and sneaked into the babies' bed several times...
